As we begin the tour, the guide reminds us of John Wayne's 1976 visit celebrating the Bi-centienial and the opening of the Cody Firearms Museum.
She goes on to explain the development of Cody from pioneer days to the present.
In this view from Skyline Drive, which hides much of the real estate develpment, we see the surrounding countryside is still open.
Here is one of the oldest houses in Cody, a log cabin dating form its earliest days..
The tour guide passed out some artifacts of yesteryear, here a six-gun.
A little western show-and-tell.
The tour follows the Shoshone River up to the Buffalo Bill Dam.
Another artifact is this ancient chunk of granite.
The plinth of the Scout statue is made of the same pink granite.
Having enjoyed the Trolley Tour, we assemble for a family portrait.
