IPSWICH GRANTOR DEED
This deed is for the Chebacco salt marsh that Philip bought in partnership with John Stone from Benjamin Edwards in 1706. Low, Knowlton, now Woodberry and Marshall himself are the abutters.
      Philip. Goody To John. Marshall recdon recorde Apr. 24th 1723
   To all to whome thesepresents shall Come Greeting Knowye that
  Philip. Gody of Beverly in the County of Efsex inyeprovinceofye Mafsa
chusets Bay in New England Weavour. for and in Consideration of the
  Sum of thirty four pounds ten Shillings, in hand before ye Enfealing here
 of well & truly paid by John Marshall of Ipswich in ye County &
  province in New England Aforesd Husbandman. the receipt whereof
  He doth Acknowledge & himself therewith fully Satisfied Contented
& paid hath Given, granted, bargined & Sold Aliened , Conveyed and
  Confirmed & by these prefents doth freely fully & Abfolutely Give, grant
 bargin, Sell, Aliene, convey & Confirm unto him the sd John Marshall
   his heirs & Afsignes forever. Three Acres of Marsh be it more or lefs,
  Scituate lying & being in Ipswich in Chebacco bounded as followeth
 Southeeasterly upon Knowltons Marish, Southwesterly Corner upon
  Lows Marish, and runs along down to ye river upon John Marshalls
  Marish & Westerly running upon ye River to francis. Cogswell Marsh
  & running upon sd Cogswells Marsh & Woodberrys Marsh to the
  bounds first mentioned To have and to hold ye sd granted & bargined
  premifes, to Said John Marshall his heirs & afsignes for ever to Use
  Occupy, pofsefs & Injoy as a good Estate of Inheritance in fee Simple
with all ye profits & priviledges thereunto belonging &yesd Philip Gody
   for himself his heirs, Execrs & Adminrs doth Covenant & promise to &
with ye sd John Marshall his heirs & Afsignes that before ye Enfealing here
of He is ye True & lawfull Owner of the premifes abovesd and is pofsefsed of ye
same & hath full power to Sell & Convey ye same & will Warrent & defend ye Title
thereof unto sd Marshall from all ye perfons laying legall Claim thereunto. &
Martha Gody ye Wife of ye abovesd Philip Gody doth by these prefents give all
  her right of Dowry in & unto ye demised premifes unto John Marshall
abovesd his heirs & afsignes. In Witnefs whereof they have hereunto Set their hands &
Seals ye fifteenth day of July in ye year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred
     Twenty &three & In ye Ninth year of his Majesties reign. Memo ye Word County
   between ye Sixth & Seventheline fromye top was Interlin'd before Signing hereof
